Bruce M McDowell
Manager & Tax Link Ltd Chairman
Bruce is a qualified Taxation Accountant, a member of the Accountants and Tax Agents Institute of New Zealand (ATINZ) since 1982, and the New Zealand Institute of Management since 1984. Having owned and operated an H&R Block franchise, in 1992 he helped form the Tax Link group, a nationwide network of taxation service providers and was elected as Tax Link Ltd Chairman, a position he has now held for 25 years. Bruce is friendly and approachable with an expansive knowledge on all areas of tax and accounting. When he’s not at work Bruce enjoys playing tennis, listening to music and spending time with his family and friends.
Kitty Yuen
Office Manager & Senior Accountant
Kitty is a highly knowledgeable and experienced accountant, with a Law Degree from the University of Canterbury, a Bachelor of Business Analysis with Honours and a Masters in Business Administration. Kitty has over 20 years of experience as an accountant, 15 of which she has spent with us at Tax Link, and is fluent in English as well as Cantonese. Kitty is very friendly and will take an efficient and proactive approach towards your accounting needs, offering sound advice for the present and the future. In her spare time Kitty enjoys reading, swimming and playing badminton.
Chris McDonald
Office Manager & Chartered Accountant
Chris is a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of experience, 20 years of which was gained working in a Chartered Accountants office, and prior to that in his work for the Inland Revenue Department. Chris is friendly, knowledgeable and will be able to quickly and competently prepare all your required tax returns. When Chris is not at work he enjoys fly fishing, masters hockey and going on holiday with his family.
Jason McFadden
Senior Accountant
Jason is a qualified accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Law degree from the University of Canterbury. He has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting industry including over 20 years with us at Tax Link. His experience ranges from lecturing in accounting at the former Christchurch College of Education, to preparing tax opinions, advising and assisting small business start-ups as well as all areas of tax compliance. Jason loves numbers and he loves his job as an accountant.
Nadia McDowell
Accountant
Nadia has been a Taxation Accountant for Tax Link in Christchurch since 2014, specialising in areas of overseas income, trusts, and estates. She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury in December 2010 and became an enrolled Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in 2012. She has prior experience working at Document Risk Solutions LLP, as a consultant to the Commodities Markets Legal team at Citibank in London, and at Community Law Canterbury. In her free time Nadia enjoys baking, reading and taking photos of her British longhair cat Winston.
Joe McDowell
Accountant
Joe is a knowledgeable accountant and an expert on the latest accounting software. After living and working in the UK for two years Joe returned home to join our team in 2014. Joe’s role at Tax Link includes preparing tax returns as well as training and assisting clients in MYOB Essentials and Xero. Our clients love his easy-going and friendly approach to business. Outside of work, Joe enjoys softball, fishing and spending time with his young family.
Sophie Owens
Receptionist
Sophie is our friendly and welcoming receptionist and likely the first person you meet when arriving at Tax Link. Sophie excels in customer service, running the front desk and behind the scenes for over 10 years. Along with her experience Sophie brings a fast, efficient and helpful approach to her work. When she is not at work she is kept busy with her growing family.
